Many techniques exist. Brooke offers training in preliminary Kriya Yoga Meditation techniques: a breath technique, a mantra and somatic movement for concentration and awareness.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Learn technical skills to expertly modify poses for individual needs; learn sequencing to relieve specific physical and psychological issues; discuss principles, silence and languaging for effective relaxation; experience and lead practice sessions.
Develop intuition and an eye for alignment, breath and body language.

Each module begins with a morning practice session, on module topic. These classes are open to the public and represent Brooke’s signature Restorative Yoga, Yoga nidra and meditation style that forms the basis of every class and workshop that she offers, refined over ten years of teaching every demographic, including seriously impaired students.
11:45 to 12:20pm
There will be a short break. You may bring a lunch or order food to be picked up from Shine Cafe or other eateries.
12:20 to 4:15pm
Discussion of the module sequence, specific training on spotlight poses and practice teaching in dyads follows.
Conversation, Q & A,and connection with the other participants will support shared group learning.
4:15pm to 4:30pm
We will end with a short closing.

Certification or in training as a Yoga teacher, body worker, somatic or psychotherapist or permission from Brooke.
Restorative Yoga uses blankets as props intensively. It is required that students bring three blankets minimum (and up to eight, made of cotton or wool), two blocks and a Yoga mat.
